Enshrouded 1.0: Best Diamond Farming Locations - Power Up Gaming
Diamonds are an important resource in Enshrouded 1.0, which you can find in the new northern biome Cinder’s Cradle, as you’ll need them for Diamond Dust, Sparkling Dust, endgame armor, spells, totems, and more. This guide will provide you with some of the best diamond farming locations in the game, including tips on how to process diamonds.
Best Diamond Farming Locations (Cinder’s Cradle Shroud)
Before you can start mining diamonds, you need to reach Flame Level 10, which is required to open the Ancient Gate into Cinder’s Cradle. Note that this also raises the Flame Altar limit to 15. After that, you need to get a strong upgraded pickaxe and Shroud protection. If you can craft Miner Helmet and get a Miner passive skill and a Mason skill, you’d get much better yields and are very much recommended.
When you’re ready, head to the Ancient Gate between Cromville Hot Spring and Lake Luma, which is north of Veilwater Basin, and start mining diamonds in the rocky terrain inside the Shroud. They are relatively rare but yield large amounts when found, and the nodes typically respawn after about 1 hour. Here are the best spots:
Locations Routes Near the Entrance (Ancient Gate) Just past the Ancient Gate and Battlegrounds point, which is at the start of Cinder’s Cradle.Look north of the gate into the Shroud and examine rock walls for diamond nodes along the mountainsides.
Northwest Tunnel Northwest section of Cinder’s Cradle is accessible via a road that passes through a tunnel leading into a Shrouded area containing a Shroud Root.Inside the tunnel, you’ll encounter scarabs and two large diamond veins, where a single clear run can yield several hundred diamonds.
Proto Vessel Bay Its entire vicinity and nearby cave entrances are full of mineral-rich walls and mountain sides. All rocky walls throughout Cinder’s Cradle Shroud areas are worth checking, and especially an elevated cave entrance above the clouds.
Alternative Non-Mining Sources & Diamond Processing Tips
Occasionally, you will find diamonds inside chests, pots, crates, barrels, shelves, and other containers, especially in the 6 dungeons needed for the floating islands teleporter. Once you’ve obtained a certain amount of diamonds, you need to follow these steps to process them into Diamond Dust:
- Process 1 Diamond for 1 Diamond Dust at a Mill, which you can power either by Water Wheel or Windmill Sails.
- The crafting will take about 3 minutes per unit at 100% production speed.
- But don’t try to grind your entire stock, as some crafting recipes still require raw unprocessed diamonds.
- The Sparkling Dust recipe uses Diamond, Moonstone, Celestium Ore, and Mother-of-Pearl.
Then, you can use Diamond Dust in various crafting recipes. Here are the most important ones:
- Eternal Fire Totem II (20 Diamonds)
- Lifelock Pants (6 Diamonds)
- Spells: Incredible Ward, Fire Bolt, Chain Lightning.
